J&K: Amarnath Yatra moving smoothly; Ninth batch left Bhagwati Nagar base camp

The ninth batch of 5,726 pilgrims with 3,617 via Pahalgam and 2,109 via Baltal route, left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp Jammu in a cavalcade of 242 vehicles in the early hours this morning.

4,490 Yatris left from Baltal towards holy cave shrine while 2,909 Yatris have started their journey from Nunwan Base Camp towards Chandanwari this morning. Although it is cloudy at major stops like Mahagunus Top and Sheshnag along Pahalgam route, Shri Amarnathji Yatra is going on smoothly.

Yesterday, 12,836 Yatris paid their obeisance at the holy cave shrine while a total of 91,147 Yatris drawn from various parts of the country have performed the holy darshan of Lord Shiva till 8 this morning.
