Lahore [Pakistan], Oct 11 : The Income Tax (IT) department has conducted surveys on two businesses in the Kashmir valley. This is the first survey by the IT department after a decade.
The survey was conducted on the Mir Group, which has offices in Pulwama and Pampore. The Mir Group is a manufacturer of electric poles. IT dept suspects “round tripping” of funds. Another Survey is going on against Hafeez group. Offices of Hafeez group in Srinagar are being surveyed. Hafeez Group is in the construction, real estate and hotel business. Unaccounted money is reported in sale of immovable properties.
