In reply, Kolkata chased down the victory target of 136 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 19.5 overs riding on 96-run solid opening partnership of Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill as they scored 55 and 46 respectively. Due to the fine bowling by Delhi’s Anrich Nortje, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kagiso Rabada, who took two wickets each, Kolkata came under lot of pressure, however, Rahul Tripathi hit a six off the penultimate ball of the match to seal Kolkata place in their third final.
