In IPL Cricket, Gujarat Titans (GT) registered a four-wicket win via DLS method over Mumbai Indians (MI) in a rain-curtailed last-ball thriller at the Wankhede Stadium last night.
With this win, GT jumped to the top of the points table, while MI fell to the fourth spot. After being invited to bat first, MI made 155 for 8 in stipulated 20 overs. Will Jacks scored highest 53 runs and Suryakumar Yadav also contributed 35 runs. For GT, Sai Kishore bagged 2 wickets.
In reply, Gujarat Titans chased down the revised target of 147 in the last ball of the match after two rain interruptions. Skipper Shubman Gill emerged as top-scorer with 43 runs of 46 balls. He was declared Player of the Match. For MI, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and Ashwani Kumar took two wickets each.
Today, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The match will begin at 07:30 PM.
