In IPL T20 Cricket, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stormed into the final after defeating table-toppers Punjab Kings by 8 wickets in the first Qualifier in Chandigarh last night. Chasing a modest target of 102 runs set by Punjab Kings, RCB reached 106 for 2 in just 10 overs. Earlier, after being sent in to bat, Punjab were bundled out for just 101 runs in 14.1 overs. Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma took three wickets each, dismantling the Punjab Kings’ batting lineup. Suyash Sharma was named Player of the Match.
All eyes will now turn to the clash between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians, who face off in the Eliminator this evening in Chandigarh. The winner will advance to the second Qualifier on June 1, where they will take on Punjab Kings. The winner of Qualifier 2 will then face RCB in the final on June 3.
