External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today said India’s response to crisis like COVID is enormous and it will enhance Self Confidence for future and enhance cooperation globally.
He was addressing after virtually inaugurating the third edition of the Deccan Dialogue organized by the External Affairs Ministry and the Hyderabad based Indian School of Business (ISB).
Mr Jaishankar appreciated India’s response to COVID Pandemic and recalled that the nation developed production capability of health care sector and build up systems to deal with the situation.
Stating that the country was not able to provide enough PPE kits and Ventilators, he said today the country is not only meeting its national needs but also helping other countries.
He further said, the country could create more than 15,000 dedicated facilities, with 1.5 million isolation beds and testing more than a million people daily through 7,000 centres.
He further appreciated the social discipline in the country which stood out in comparison with many developed countries. He credited the influence of leadership and motivation for the same.
He exuded confidence that the country will come out of COVID crisis. He further said, India’s relentless efforts have brought in aspects like terror finance, radicalisation and cyber recruitment into spotlight.
He also spoke about issues like climate change and pandemics.
