Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has stepped down as chief executive of the company paving way for the current chief technical officer, Parag Agrawal, to take over. Mr Dorsey has been serving as chief executive of both Twitter and payment firm Square. Agrawal has been with the company for more than a decade and has served as CTO since 2017, Twitter added.
The popular microblogging service that allows users to send messages of up to 140 characters, was cofounded by Dorsey in 2006. He later went on to become one of the topmost technology entrepreneurs.
