India suspends flights to and from UK till Jan 7 over new coronavirus strain

Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced on Wednesday that suspension of flights to and from the United Kingdom has been extended till 7 January 2021.

This move comes after a new strain of ‘highly transmissible’ coronavirus was found in the UK and among those who returned from there.
