India crosses 83 crore mark in Covid-19 vaccination

India’s vaccination coverage has crossed the landmark milestone of 83 crore. Union Health Ministry said, more than 61 crore vaccine doses have been administered as first dose and over 21 crore vaccine doses given as second doses. The Ministry said, more than 64 lakh Vaccine doses have been administered till 7 PM today.

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June this year. As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, government has been supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost.
