IMD Issues Orange Alert For Central, Northeastern & Southern India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert warning for Central, Northeastern and Southern parts of the country for the next two days. According to IMD, isolated heavy rainfall will continue over Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, east and northeast India for the next 7 days. Talking exclusively to Akashvani, IMD Scientist RK Jenamani said that a red alert warning was issued for East Rajasthan and the Western part of Madhya Pradesh today. He added that the orange colour warning was issued for Tamil Nadu, Rayalseema, Kerala and Northeast India.Mr Jenamani said that extremely heavy rainfall will continue over East Rajasthan and very heavy rainfall is expected over the central and northern parts of the country.
