Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ addressed the annual convocation ceremony of IIM Rohtak, today. He congratulated IIM for doing so well in promoting gender diversity and learning from its people.
“The efforts of the institute in this direction will help in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of the “Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao” mission”, said Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal.
A total of 480 students from the MBA program and 12 from the medical program attended the conference. Pokhriyal congratulated the graduates on their achievements. He encouraged students to work hard and contribute to the nation, and to society as a whole.
The Minister urged the students to use their talent in the best possible way and contribute significantly to achieving the goal of India @ 75 and wished them well in their future endeavours.
The Minister congratulated IIM Rohtak on opening a new campus in Gurugram, new programs and empowering women in management education over the past few years and commended them for their efforts to give impetus to policy research and activities.
IIM Rohtak is the first and only IIM to start the Five Year Integrated Program (BBA-LLB) from 2021.
Pokhriyal said the government over the past few years has increased the number of IIMs, IITs and Central Universities to provide more opportunities for young people to get a quality education.
He noted that Indian educational institutions are improving their position at the international level and that IIM Rohtak has also improved in education.
