Hydropower generation & infrastructure of Bhutan high on agenda during PM Modi’s visit to Thimpu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two day visit to Bhutan from tomorrow. India’s Ambassador to Bhutan Ruchira Kamboj said that Mr Modi’s visit will lead to  strengthening of India-Bhutan partnership. 

She said that 10 MoUs will be signed between the two countries and atleast five projects are expected to be inaugurated including Mangdechhu hydroelectric power project during Prime Minister’s visit.

The Indian Ambassador said, Bhutan wholeheartedly supports India’s bid for permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council.
