Union Home Minister Amit Shah has congratulated the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on summiting Mount Makalu, which is the fifth-highest peak in the world. In a social media post, Mr Shah said, the ITBP personnel unfurled the Tiranga at the peak of the mountain and carried out a cleanliness drive inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and removed 150 kg of garbage in extreme weather conditions. He also applauded their courage and commitment.
