HC of Islamabad Rejects the petition against the Release of IAF WC Abhinandan Varthaman

A Pakistani (citizen of Pakistan) filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to discontinue the release of the IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman stating that he committed a Crime against Pakistan and thus he should face the consequences for the crime.

Pakistani Law is based on the legal system of British India; thus ultimately on the common law of England and Wales.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Athar Minallah heard the case today at 12:30pm and dismissed the plea and the Pakistan has communicated to India that he will be returned through the Attari-Wagah border.
