Gujarat govt bans public Holi celebrations to contain spread of COVID-19

In Gujarat, the state government has banned the public Holi celebrations to contain the spread of Covid 19.

The State Home Department has issued a notification which only allows ‘Holika Dahan’ with a limited number of people in housing societies and villages.

The notification said no permission will be granted for Holi celebrations due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state and action will be taken against violators.
