Government today clarified that there is no proposal under consideration to increase the maximum speed limit on the expressway to 140 kilometres per hour.
This was stated by Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha. He also denied that the government is planning to change the speed limits on National Highways, State Highways, two-lane roads and city roads.
