Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla today said, Germany has been one of India’s most important friends in the European Union.
He said, the recommencement of negotiations on the India-EU trade and investment agreement augurs well for the future of economic ties of both the countries.
He was speaking at the release of Commemorative Postage Stamp on 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Germany.
Mr Shringla said Important indicator of these ties has been extensive cooperation between the two countries in dealing with COVID in areas of scientific research and health products supply.
