New Delhi: Envisioning a deep rooted bilateral and diplomatic relationship, Vietnam has reiterated its strong support to India in every possible term. Boosting its bid to attract tourist, the two countries have decided on to commence a direct flight from Kolkata to Hanoi from 3 October.
The Vietnamese government has also launched a visa-on-arrival facility for Indian tourists to take the vision forward. Efforts are also being made to make India an educational, as well as, health destination for Vietnamese nationals. The Ambassador of Vietnam to India, Pham Sanh Chau also highlighted the special bond shared by the two nations while speaking to the media.
Apart from this tourist vision, he also said that, Vietnam has expressed its commitment to support fully India’s bid to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council. Previously also Vietnam has stated its support for India to become a UNSC permanent member once the council expands.
Expressing his pleasure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s extraordinary win in the Lok Sabha elections, Pham Sanh Chau said, that Vietnam is looking forward to working closely with India. Sharing a special relationship, the two nations are also comprehensive strategic partners. For Vietnam, India is amongst the three countries which enjoy the highest status of the relationship.
Vietnam on Wednesday reaffirmed its support for India’s bid for permanent membership of the UN Security Council. This comes shortly after Vietnam was unanimously voted as a non-permanent member of the council for the 2020-2021 term earlier this month.
