Former South Africa captain Faf Duplesey has announced his retirement from Test cricket. He informed about his decision on social media. Duplecy wrote a post on her personal Instagram that my heart is clear about this decision. This is the perfect time to start new. Duplecy has scored a total of 4163 runs in 69 Tests for South Africa at an average of over 40. He has scored a total of 10 centuries and 21 half-centuries in this format.

Duplecy wrote, “It has been a year of fighting ahead for all of us. There was uncertainty even at the time, but this gave me a clear opinion on many aspects. “He further wrote,” It is an honor to represent the country in all formats of the game, but now the time has come for me to retire from Test cricket.

Debut in 2012
Du Plessi made his Test debut in November 2012 against Australia at the Adelaide ground. He played his last Test match recently against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. In his last Test series, Faf du Plessy scored 10, 23, 17 and 5 runs.
Du Plessy has been a tremendous South African player. He has also captained the team in ODIs and T20 formats, besides winning the team on several important occasions. Du Plessis had the highest score of 199 runs in Test cricket, which he made against Sri Lanka in December last year.
