Former President Pranab Mukherjee is no more. He breathed his last at Army Hospital in New Delhi this evening. His son Abhijit Mukherjee informed this through Twitter.
He said, Mr Pranab Mukherjee passed away in spite of the best efforts of Doctors of Army R&R Hospital and prayers, duas and prarthanas from people throughout the country.
The medical condition of 84-year old Mukherjee declined yesterday after he went into septic shock due to lung infection.
He was admitted to the hospital on 10th of this month and was operated for removal of a clot in the brain.
