Foreign investors pumped in over 23,000 crore rupees into the Indian equity markets in the first two weeks of May. As per the depositories data, the Foreign Portfolio Investors, or FPIs, invested 23,152 crore rupees in equities in the first fortnight of May. FPIs also invested 68 crore rupees in the debt market during the same period in May. This came following a net infusion of nearly 12,000 crore rupees in equities in April and nearly 8,000 crore rupees in March.
