FM Nirmala Sitharaman criticises MK Stalin for dropping rupee symbol in Tamil Nadu budget logo

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has criticised the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)Government in Tamilnadu for replacing the original rupees symbol with a Tamil Ru in a post in the twitter by the Tamilnadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.

The finance minister accused the DMK Government for disrespecting the rupees symbol which was designed by a person who was their own MLA’s son.

She stated that this design was accepted during the UPA period in which they were a part. She accused the DMK Government for taking contradictory stand on the issue.

Former Chief Minister and opposition leader E. Palanisamy also accused the DMK Government for evading main issues and adopting silly political games. State BJP Chief K. Annamalai also accused the Government for diverting people’s attention and maintaining double standards.
