Flights from Dubai and Bahrain to reach Kerala today with evacuees

Dubai: As part of Vande Bharath initiative, two flights will leave from Gulf region on Monday. The flights are from Dubai to Kochi and from Bahrain to Kozhikode. The flight from Dubai to Kochi will leave from Dubai with 177 passengers by 1.15 pm.

The second flight, from Bahrain to Kozhikode, there will be 180 adults and four babies. The flight will take off from Bahrain International Airport by 4.30 pm and will reach Kozhikode by 11.20 pm.

All the tickets for the passengers have been distributed. The tickets were distributed in the temporary office of Air India set up in the Indian Embassy. Pregnant women and people who lost their jobs constitute most of the passengers. All the passengers who made it to the list were informed from the embassy.

Only two flights have been approved from Bahrain in the first phase. More flights are expected from Bahrain in the second phase. There is a flight to Kannur from Dubai on Tuesday.
