The special investigation Division of CB CID has arrested Coimbatore serial bomb blast accused N P Noohu alias Rasheed on specific intelligence input on Monday.

The Coimbatore City B1 Bazaar police station had registered case against him on following sections.151/1998 u/s.120(B), 302, 307, 449,
465, 468, 471, 212, 153(A)(1), 148, 149, 201, 109, 114, 353 IPC, Sec.3,
4(b), 5 and 6 of Explosive Substances Act 1908, Sec.25(1-B)(a) of the
Arms Act, 1959 u/s. 4 of TNPPDL Act 1992 .

He was absconding since the Coimbatore serial bomb
blast and hiding abroad for the last 20 years. He has been declared as a
proclaimed offender by the Court.
He is being interrogated.
