The General Budget 2019-20 will be presented in the Parliament today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget in the Lok Sabha at 11 AM.
This will be the first Budget of the Narendra Modi Government in the second tenure. It will also be Ms Sitharaman’s maiden Budget.
The Finance Minister along with Minister of State Anurag Thakur and officials of the ministry gave final touches to the General Budget last evening.
The annual financial statement of a government, the Union budget gives details about the revenue and expenditure of the Centre in the past and estimated spending and projections for the coming year.
