FIH Hockey Series Finals: India take on Uzbekistan in final pool match

India will today look to seal a semifinal spot of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Men’s Series Finals when they face Uzbekistan in their third and final group match at Bhubaneshwar. After defeating Russia 10-nil in their tournament opener, world number one five India beat 21st ranked Poland, 3-1 in their second match.

India are currently top of Pool-A with maximum six points from two games. Poland is second, Russia third and Uzbekistan at the bottom with no wins.

In today’s other encounters, US will take on Japan, while South Africa will face Mexico. Japan leads Group-B, followed by US at the second spot, Mexico third and South Africa fourth.
