Facebook removes then restores news article on Holocaust education

California [United States], August 30 : It seems Facebook never learns from its past mistakes. After creating a lot of furor following removal of a photojournalistic imagefrom its platform, the company again drew ire this week for removing a news article posted by Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect.
The center posted a news article about Holocaust education that included a photo of naked, emaciated children from a Nazi concentration camp, Cnet reported. However, the article was about the importance of educating people about the disturbing historical event.
Facebook’s explanation for the removal was a violation of its community standards where nudity is not permitted, prompting many to blame tech giants of censorship.
The center announced that Facebook has apologised for the removal of the post and restored the original post.

News is information about current events.
