The Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached eight properties belonging to Nationalist Congress Party leader Nawab Malik, his family members and two companies namely M/s. Solidus Investments Private Limited and M/s. Malik Infrastructure. In a statement, the ED said that the action has been taken under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
The attached properties include Goawala compound property and a commercial unit at Kurla in Mumbai, a 147-acre agricultural land in Osmanabad district, three flats in Kurla and two residential flats in Bandra.
Earlier, Malik was arrested on 23rd of February for an alleged land grab case involving the Goawala compound property and the subsequent money laundering and terror funding case linked to fugitive terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and his aides.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court today agreed to grant urgent listing to Nawab Malik’s petition, challenging his arrest.
