Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday made a series of announcements and shared details of the Rs 20 lakh crore economic package announced by PM Modi to the fight the coronavirus crisis. The finance minister announced that the due date for all income tax returns has been extended to November 30.
The rate of TDS, TCS for non-salaried payments for period up to March 31, 2021 has also been cut by 25%. The move will release Rs 50,000 crore, the finance minister announced on Tuesday.
