Delhi police is using latest technology and expertise to check cyber crimes, says Police Commissioner

Delhi Police Commissioner S N Srivastava has said, the city police  is using latest technology and expertise to check cyber crimes and in the  investigation  of criminal cases for their quick disposal. Addressing the media, Mr Srivastava said that the disposal rate of cases related to economic offences is higher than the cases registered in 2020.

Talking about North East Delhi violence case, he said that 755 FIRs were registered in the matter and  over 1800 accused  were arrested. He also informed that three Special Investigation Teams were constituted in this connection and 60 cases related to violence were transferred to them. He said, during the lockdown period, the Delhi Police discharged it’s responsibility and ensured its implementation. He said, police personnel helped the people including migrant labourers, elderly people , pregnant women by providing food and medicines and other essential services during the lockdown period.

Mr Srivastava said, Delhi police is also installing CCTVs cameras in vulnerable spots to check criminal activities.
