Delhi Police Cyber Cell arrested 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi from Bengaluru on 13th February for her alleged role in spreading ‘toolkit’ related to farmers protest .
The Delhi police have arrested her under the FIR filed by the cyber-crime unit of the Delhi police on February 4 against the creators of the “toolkit” on farmers’ protest under charges of sedition, criminal conspiracy and promoting hatred. This is the first arrest the Delhi police have made in the case.
Disha Ravi is one of the founders of the “Friday for Future” campaign — a global climate strike movement that started in August 2018 when Greta Thunberg began a school strike for climate. During the investigation, according to the officers of the special cell, Disha Ravi revealed she edited the toolkit associated with the farmers, added some items and then sent it ahead.
