Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has issued directions to concerned authorities to withdraw the land acquisition proceedings within delineated boundaries of 1,731 unauthorised colonies.
In a tweet, Mr Baijal said, it was a major step for conferring ownership rights on the residents of these colonies.
He said, the move will pave the way for smooth implementation of Prime Minister’s Unauthorized Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana – PM -UDAY.
