Delhi Joins Ayushman Bharat, Doubles Health Cover to ₹10 Lakh per Family

The National Health Authority and the Delhi Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the National Capital. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. During the event, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh highlighted that the scheme offers health benefits of 5 lakh rupees per family per year. He further announced that the Delhi government would provide an additional top-up of 5 lakh rupees, bringing the total health coverage to 10 lakh rupees per family annually. This comprehensive coverage includes both secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation and is accessible across a wide network of public and private empanelled hospitals throughout the country.
