Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today visited the Vietnam Embassy in New Delhi and paid tributes to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, who passed away last week in Hanoi at the age of 80. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval attended the state funeral of Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi and conveyed India’s condolences personally to Vietnamese President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and the bereaved family.
