Covid-19 recovery rate in country reaches 95.12 percent

The country’s COVID-19 recovery rate has reached around 95.12 per cent. During the last 24 hours, 34 thousand 477 people recovered from COVID-19. The Health Ministry said, the total number of recoveries has gone up to over 94 lakh 22 thousand.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has said that India’s Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is amongst the lowest in the world. He said, at present India’s CFR is 1.45 per cent, whereas globally it is 2.26 per cent. Mr Bhushan ssaid, a Multi-Level Governance Mechanism have been set up in the nation to monitor the work related to COVID19 vaccination. He added that 23 Ministries and Departments of Government and States have been identified and assigned roles for vaccine-roll out.

The Health Secretary said, guidelines for estimation of electrical and non-electrical cold chain equipment and their strengthening has been issued.
