Country’s cumulative COVID vaccination coverage crosses 27 crore mark

On the 153rd day of Worlds largest Covid Vaccination drive, yesterday the cumulative vaccine doses administered in the country reached more than 26.86 crore. Cumulatively, more than 4 crore 93 lakh 56 thousand people across 37 States and UTs have received their first dose in the age group 18 to 44 years. A total of 10 lakh 58 thousand 514 have received their second dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive.

Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have administered more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years for the first dose of COVID vaccine.

A total 29 lakh 64 thousand 596 vaccine doses were given. Of these, over 25 lakh 81 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and around 3 lakh 83 thousand beneficiaries received 2nd dose of vaccine.
