The construction work of ‘Garbh Grah’ or the sanctum sanctorum of the under-construction Ram temple in Ayodhya will begin from today. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take part in a ceremony to lay foundation stone of the ‘Garbha Griha’ by placing the first carved stone in it.
Seers and saints from across the country have been invited on the occasion and the Shila poojan will be telecast live.
The first carved stone of the sanctum Santorum will be placed by Yogi Adityanath at sharp 11:15 am in Abhijeet muhurt. With the Shila poojan of this construction, the shape of the grand Ram temple will start taking place.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi terrth shetra Trust, in charge of the temple construction, has informed that white marbles from the Makrana hills of Rajasthan would be used in the sanctum sanctorum. carving of the stones, which will be used in the construction of the Sanctum Santorum is going on at two workshops.
It’s a big day for the people of Ayodhya and there are plans for grand celebration. All temples are decorated in the city of lord Rama and earthen lamps will be lit in the evening. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had attended the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ or the foundation stone laying ceremony for the temple on 5 August 2020 after which construction had started.
