Union Minister of State for Home, G. Kishan Reddy said that construction of the Tirupati Bala Ji temple signifies a new beginning for Jammu and Kashmir. He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are all set to see all round development in every sphere and field. He said that the Corona Pandemic did slow down the developmental process and plans of the Government which it had for J&K and Ladakh but expressed hope that the laying of foundation stone of the prestigious temple in Jammu will lead to massive development of J&K. In reply to a question, the Union Minister said that the situation in J&K is under control adding that no major terrorist incident has occurred during the last two years.
Minister of State, PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that with the laying of foundation stone of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Jammu, a new beginning has been set in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, the construction of this Temple will usher a new era of development and peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
J&K Administrative Council on April 1 had approved the proposal to allot 496 kanals and 17 marlas of land to the Trimula Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) in Jammu for construction of temple and development of other facilities. The land has been given on lease for forty years.
