Mumbai: Crime Branch arrested a murder accused who was at large since the past 20 years. Identified as Mohammad Siddiqi, he was said to be working for underworld don Chhota Shakeel. In 1999 three accused attacked president of Aman Committee, Wahid Ali Khan near Manish Market. Mumbai Crime Branch who was investigating the case had arrested two accused, but both were acquitted from the case.
After the shootout, Mohammad Siddiqui fled to Lukhnow and later he sneaked out of India. Mumbai Crime Branch had even issued Red Corner Notice against him. Few days ago the Anti Extortion Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch received a tip off about Siddiqui hiding in Mumbra. They soon laid a trap and arrested him. Since the Crime Branch Unit 1 had probed the murder of Wahid Ali Khan, Siddiqui was handed over to Unit I.
