Central team to arrive in Bengaluru to review damages caused by floods in Karnataka

A six member inter-ministerial central team will arrive in Bengaluru this afternoon to review damages caused by floods in Karnataka.

The team headed by Ramesh Kumar Ganta, Joint Secretary in the National Disaster Management Authority, will be on a 3-day visit to the state. 

Karnataka Chief Minister along with senior officials will brief the central team in the evening. Tomorrow, the team will visit Kalburgi, Vijayapura and Udupi by forming three seperate teams to assess the damages caused by floods and landslides that occured in September.

On Tuesday, the team will be debriefed by state Revenue minister R Ashoka and Chief Secretary T M Vijay Bhaskar in Bengaluru.
