Central Railway registered a record “ticket checking earnings”-the fine recovered for ticket-less or irregular travel-of Rs 4.95 crore from June to Dec 2020. During these checks, 1.58 lakh cases were detected.
Out of this, about 1.21 lakh cases were detected in suburban realising an amount of Rs.2.87 lakh as penalty and Rs. 2.09 crores realized as penalty from 37,823 cases in nonsuburban trains.
