A CBI team has reached the residence of TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee to question his wife Rujira in connection with a coal smuggling case this morning.
The central agency had sent her a notice on Sunday. In her reply, Rujira had mentioned that she was unaware of the reason for being called for questioning or the subject matter of the investigation but she was available at her residence today. CBI officials had questioned Rujira Banerjee’s sister Menaka Gambhir for three hours in Kolkata yesterday.
