An incident of animal cruelty surfaced from Madhya Pradesh where a dog was thrown into a lake by a man and the entire incident was filmed. The video that led to outrage was widely circulated on social media on Sunday.
The video was filmed on the Upper Lake located in Bhopal. In the video, a man wearing a black t-shirt can be seen picking up a stray dog and throwing it into the lake.
As per reports, the video was shot at Boat Club Road near Van Vihar. In the video, the youth who throws the canine into the water body can be seen giggling at the person filming the incident.
The accused was identified as Salman. Singh added that several non-profit organisations (NGOs) demanded action against the accused.
An FIR was registered against Salman under section 429 (mischief by killing or maiming any animal) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
