BJP’s Maharashtra Victory A Triumph Of Good Governance And Development: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the BJP’s victory in Maharashtra assembly polls is a win for good governance and development. Addressing party workers at BJP headquarters in Delhi, Mr Modi said the poll result is a defeat of negative politics. He said people also showed their trust in BJP in the bypolls held across several states. Prime Minister stated that this signifies that people only want development. He thanked women, farmers and youth for imposing their trust in the party. Mr Modi said that this is the third consecutive time that the BJP has emerged as the largest party in Maharashtra, which is undoubtedly a historic feat. He added that this victory is a stamp on the BJP’s governance model. Mr Modi mentioned that when it comes to good governance, the country trusts only the BJP and the NDA. The Prime Minister said that Maharashtra has strengthened the resolve of Viksit Bharat.

Mr Modi said, the overwhelming support for the BJP has sent a clear message that modern India demands progress and trustworthy governance. Mr Modi said, the cities have opted for development, embracing modern infrastructure thereby rejecting politics that hinder growth. He said, the BJP remains committed to delivering world-class infrastructure, driving India’s strides to meet global standards.

The Prime Minister also hit out at the Congress saying that the Congress party’s sole focus is on the family and a party that prioritises family over citizens poses a significant threat to democracy. Mr Modi alleged that Congress made laws for appeasement and the Waqf Board is an example of it. He said, there is no place for Waqf law in the Constitution but the Congress created it to increase its vote bank. Mr Modi alleged that before Congress rule ended in 2014, the party handed over several properties near Delhi to the Waqf Board.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi said that only one constitution will be applicable in the entire country and that constitution is the constitution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar which is the Constitution of India. He also told the Congress and their allies that now no power in the world can bring back Article 370.
