BJP has accused the Aam Aadmi Party of sponsoring anti-CAA protests including at Shaheen Bagh in Delhi and approached the Election Commission over the issue. A party delegation led by BJP General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav met the Commission in New Delhi and urged the poll panel to take cognizance of the issue.
Briefing media, Mr. Yadav said, the party has demanded the Commission to include expenses incurred on these protests in the expenditure of AAP candidates in Delhi assembly elections. He said the BJP has submitted evidence, including records of the statement by AAP leaders showing that Delhi’s ruling party is behind these protests.
