In Bihar, scrutiny of nominations for the second phase of assembly elections will be held today. The last date of withdrawal of candidature is 19th of this month. For this phase, polling will be held on 3rd November in 94 assembly constituencies. A total of 1,062 nominations have been filed for the second phase.
Meanwhile, Election Commission has removed Kosi Divisional Commissioner Senthil Kumar and Buxar ADM Chandrasekhar Jha from poll duty. The commission has instructed that the two officers will not be engaged in any election related work.
