Bihar decides to create micro-containment zones amid spike in COVID-19 cases

Bihar government has decided to create micro – containment zones in the areas of the state where fresh cases are spiking. The  Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar said everyone in such areas will be tested. SPs of all districts have been told to get the vaccination of home guards completed in the next three days.

Two lakh 60 thousand 218 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection in the state so far. COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 99.21 percent in Bihar. The number of active cases is continuously declining. Currently, only 547 patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals. No positive case has been reported from 18 districts.

Meanwhile  a total of 59 thousand  402 healthcare workers took the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine during the past 24 hours. So far, 5 lakh 92 thousand 286 beneficiaries have been inoculated with vaccine doses since the start of vaccination drive in the state.
