In Bihar thirty thousand health workers will be vaccinated on the first day of vaccination programme on January 16. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said altogether one hundred people at each of three hundred centres in the state will be administered the shots on inaugural day. On this occassion Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will present at a vaccination centre in Patna.
Health Minister Mr Pandey said those who registered for vaccination would receive notification via SMS.January 25 is the last day to get registered for the first phase of vaccination drive. The first consignment of 54 thousand nine hundred vials of Covashield vaccine of Serum Institute of India has already reached Patna.
Meanwhile two lakh 51 thousand 858 patients have so far recovered from the Covid-19 infection. The number of active cases of COVID-19 is continuously declining. Currently, four thousand 33 patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals.
COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 97.87 per cent in Bihar. This is 1.38 per cent more than the national average. Over 95 thousand corona tests were carried out during the last 24 hours. Over one crore 94lakh corona tests have been conducted in the state so far.
