Bollywood Box Office 2018 gave some major goals for content and gender norms, while 2019 is busy making the changes mainstream, the effects will be tremendous on 2020 box office. While Deepika, Kangana, Alia and Kareena are defying the ages old norm that female centric films cannot earn more, the leading ladies joined the 100 crore club, and will clash with leading male actors in 2020.
Some of the major releases in coming year are Deepika’s Chhappak, Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji, Kangana’s Panga and Varun Dhawan’s Street Dancer 3D, , Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, and some of them are going to hit theatres on the same day.
January 10 will have Chhapaak releasing alongside, Tanhaji, both films will dive into real life inspired stories and stars some of the most talented actors. January 24 will see Varun’s Street Dancer 3D against Kangana’s Panga. Even though the dates have been finalised, they could still change like Super 30 and Mental Hai Kya, but both films are worlds apart. While Panga is a sports biopic, Street Dancer 3D is a fictional dance film that is directed by Remo D’Souza.
