Tamil Nadu, political parties are firming up seat-sharing talks and finalising the constituencies to contest by racing against time. The DMK has signed an agreement with the MDMK allotting six seats to contest in the forthcoming Assembly General Elections.
the seat-sharing agreement between the DMK and the MDMK is that, its junior partner will contest in all the six allotted seats in the DMK symbol.
In both the AIADMK and the DMK camps, talks with their partners with whom the agreement over seat allocation is yet to be concluded are going on in a frenetic pace.
Once it is completed, another round of talks on identifying the constitutions to field their candidates is set to begin. Meanwhile, the state Election authorities have notified nine different formats in which the contestants with criminal antecedents and their political parties are to publicize the details.
